Danforth Dental Clinic

On your first visit

Thank you for choosing our dental office. We always welcome new patients! We take great pride in our team by offering excellent service to all our patients and delivering a positive experience which is created for your individual needs and requirements.

Our dental office takes added measures in order to ensure your overall experience at our office is relaxing so that you experience excellent dental care.

On your first visit, you will be asked to complete our new patient forms. You will be asked to provide complete, up-to-date information on your health. Inform your dentist if you have experienced recent hospitalization or surgery, or if you have recently been ill. Also tell the dentist the names, doses, and frequency of any medications you are taking. We request that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled dental appointment. This is so that we can go through your medical and dental history

In most cases, your initial dental assessment and examination normally takes approximately 1 hour. While having your visit, we will discover more about your dental needs and requirements and also understand more about your goals for your all around oral health.

We’re going to execute a complete examination of your mouth as well as your gums, teeth and oral tissue. Dental X-rays will be taken in order to assess the conformation of your jaw, the positioning of your teeth and your overall dental health. Once the assessment is carried out, your oral health is going to be evaluated. We will go over the outcomes of the evaluation with you and also provide you with recommendations and guidance on the best way to treat any problems we may discover.

Appointments

We request 2 business days notice for changes or cancellation of your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment, and appreciate your cooperation.Failure to provide 2 business days notice may result in a charge.

What Is Dental Insurance & How Does It Work?

Dental Insurance is a contract between your employer and an insurance company. The benefits you will receive are based on the terms of the contract that were negotiated between your employer and the insurance company and not your dental treatment provider.

Unfortunately, your dental insurer will not cover some of the services that you may need or want. Our goal is to help you achieve and maintain optimal dental care.

Dental insurance companies can cover up to 100 percent of any dental fee and, in some cases, cover 50 percent or nothing at all. Many insurance plans have a dollar amount limitation each year. Once this limit is reached, your dental insurance company regardless how essential the service may be to your dental health will cover no other services.

As a concerned partner in your dental well-being, we do not want to compromise your care based on restraints placed by an insurance company.
